Trailer Mates - Safely Tie Down Vehicle in Trailer
Key Features:
- 100% Solid lightweight high-density foam with traction coating
- Adds ground clearance so that tie-downs are more reachable
- Keeps vehicle from rolling during transport
Trailer Mates eliminate the hassle and stress of getting your low profile, track car or sportscar safely tied down in your trailer without scraping the front bumper.
Trailer Mates add 3 inches of ground clearance so that you have more room to reach your vehicle’s tie-down points, and in some cases, open the door over the trailer wheel well. The front Trailer Mates feature a concave depression that helps keep the vehicle from rolling during transport. The rear Trailer Mates are designed to simply drive right over, making placement a snap. Each lightweight ramp can support up to 1,500 pounds for a total vehicle weight capacity of 6,000 pounds. The front Trailer mates have a 7-degree approach angle, and the rear Trailer Mates have a 10.9-degree approach angle.
These ramps are manufactured using an exclusive, patented process. They are constructed of 100% solid, high-density foam with a rugged anti-slip coating that results in a lightweight ramp solution that is strong, yet durable.

Use the calculator below to determine your vehicle's maximum angle of approach. Then shop for any Race Ramps with an angle equal to or less than your result.
To determine the best angle of approach for your vehicle, we have devised the “yardstick test” below. If you do not have a yardstick, carefully measure out 36" with a tape measure or other straight, rigid object.
You may need two sets of hands to get an accurate measurement.

Place a 36" yardstick or tape measure at the base of your front wheel.

Raise up the yardstick or tape measure until it hits the underside of your car (the spoiler/splitter/air dam).

Measure vertically from the ground to the end of the yardstick or 36" point on the tape measure.
